SIMPLE POTTY TRAINING TIPS FOR DOGS

When the dog you care and love so much messes up the house, you tend to get disgusted and might get harsh on the poor dog. But is it actually the fault of the dog? That is how they are until you train them to behave the way you want. In this article, I will share with you simple potty training tips for your dog.
To be frank with you, potty training a dog can be a tasking job to do but once done, you will not face the stress of cleaning your home because your dog has messed it up!
To start with, you need to set times for your dog. When I mean times, I am talking about fixed times your dog will realize it is time to go to the bathroom. It is strongly advised to train it to go to bathroom anytime it wakes up, after it must have had it meal or just before the dog goes to sleep. Research has shown that these periods are the right time dogs like easing themselves! To do this, you must fix a particular time to feed them so it coincides with when they do the bathroom thing.
Furthermore, dogs are very sensitive animals and really appreciate gestures or compensations. They will want to repeat what they did to deserve the gesture or compensation. In other words, if your dog goes to the bathroom after meal, before bed or right after it wakes up without you telling it to, compensate it for that. This way the dog has realized what to do and will continue to d it. You have just saved yourself from stress!
Thirdly, make your dog familiar with certain signals for certain tasks. You can come up with various ones. A signal for urinating should be different from that of time to eat and should be different from that of time to defecate. Know what i mean. With this, your dog will know what you mean by just snapping your finger of blowing a whistle.
Finally and most importantly, you need to always take your dog to the spot of urinating, defecating and co. Doing this is actually building a sense of consistency in them. When they have mastered this technique, they will go there themselves when it is time to do their thing (provided the bathroom is opened though!)
As you can see, potty training your dog is not such a hard task, if you can be disciplined and train the dog at the puppy level, you will enjoy your dog till... If you can o this, then you are set.
